Characteristics and benefits of CAL LEV (hydrated Lime CH-I)
CAL LEV is a hydrated lime type CH-I, with high content of calcium oxide, low content of silica, high reactivity and high performance. All parameters are in accordance with the ABNT’s NBR 7177.
CAL LEV is very fine, presenting low bulk density and specific surface area and high adhering power, providing a stronger chemical bond. The mortars that use CAL LEV are consequently more homogeneous and chemically stronger, avoiding most frequent cracks and fissures.
CAL LEV is a high purity hydrated lime that when mixed with sand and cement produces mortars with reduced permeability and improved durability.
CAL LEV has high plasticity and great capacity to retain water, with fine particles that interact with water lubricating the grains of sand and cement, providing good workability and smooth finishing.
